Join Naturalist Gail Johnson this Saturday for a Spring Wildflower Walk...
Sat., May 11 at 2PM at the New Shelter in Hubbard Park
A walk to find spring wildflowers as well as new plant growth. We'll do an easy hike to the new part of Hubbard Park, including rich deciduous woods below cliffs. We'll especially search for spring ephemerals, such as Trout Lily, Bloodroot, Red Trillium, and Dutchman's Breeches, which bloom before they get shaded by new tree leaves.
We'll learn how plants adapt to growing when the nights are still cool. Meet Naturalist Gail Johnson at the New Shelter, Hubbard Park. All ages are welcome, and this is a free event.
