We are hosting a work day at the Vergennes Burying Ground on May 18. The Vermont Old Cemetery Association will be coming to help us repair and reset stones. We'll also be teaching people how to properly and safely clean old gravestones.
We will also be installing a new replacement stone for one of the Civil War veterans buried in the cemetery. We would love to see some new faces. This has been an amazing project and if you haven't seen the cemetery lately, please stop by!
No experience necessary, just a willingness to get dirty and help restore this treasure in the middle of our little city. Lunch will be served as well!
