The Lake Region Elementary Middle School Board received a petition signed by enough voters to reconsider the budget that passed at the annual meeting back on March 11, 2024. We will be holding a reconsideration vote at Lake Region in the gym.

SPECIAL ANNUAL MEETING
LAKE REGION UNION ELEMENTARY-MIDDLE SCHOOL DISTRICT
Monday, June 3, 2024
The legal voters of the Lake Region Union Elementary-Middle School District, comprising of the towns of Albany, Barton, Brownington, Glover, Irasburg and Westmore, are hereby notified and warned to meet at the Lake Region Union High School, town of Barton, on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 7:00 pm, to transact the following business to wit:
Article 1: A. Shall the voters of the Lake Region Union Elementary-Middle School District vote to reconsider Article 8B as last voted at the Annual Meeting on March 11, 2024?
Articles 1B and 1C shall only be transacted in the event of the passage of Article 1A.
B. To have presented by the Board of School Directors its estimate of the expenses and revenue
for the ensuing year, including an analysis of the same; allowing for recognition during the
presentation, and as appropriate, questions from the floor.
C. Shall the voters of the Lake Region Union Elementary-Middle School District approve the Board of
School Directors to expend $17,387,565, which is the amount the Board has determined to be
necessary for the ensuing fiscal year?
Article 2: A. Shall the voters of the Lake Region Union Elementary-Middle School District vote to reconsider Article 9B as last voted at the Annual Meeting on March 11, 2024?
Articles 2B and 2C shall only be transacted in the event of the passage of Article 2A.
B. To have presented by the Board of School Directors its capital reserve report and discussion for the
ensuing year, including an analysis of the same, allowing for recognition during the presentation, and
as appropriate, questions from the floor.
C. Shall the voters of the Lake Region Union Elementary-Middle School District authorize an
appropriation of an additional $500,000 to the capital reserve fund established by vote of the District
at the 1982 Annual Meeting pursuant to the provisions of 24 V.S.A. Section 2804; such funds to be
used for repair, replacement and/or upgrading of structural components, and operating systems at the
Lake Region Union Elementary-Middle School District, if such repair, replacement and/or upgrading
entails a projected cost in excess of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000)?
Article 3: To adjourn.
