CTE Students Invite Senior Citizens to Free Service Days

November 6 and 7, 2014

Center for Technology, Essex (CTE) students and staff invite senior citizens (60 yrs. and up) to benefit from their skills on Thurs. Nov. 6 OR Fri. Nov.7. All services are free: manicure, haircut, computer and cell phone help, wonderful buffet lunch, health and wellness information, auto winter safety check, tire rotation, photo restoration, and more. The day ends with a live jazz concert by the EHS Performing Arts students 1:15-1:45.

Plan to spend the whole day (4+ hours) at CTE to enjoy all the activities and services. No appointments or reservations. Choose one day, either Thursday Nov.6 or Friday, Nov.7 to attend. Arrive between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. No early birds please!
Please note: Mounting snow tires will be limited to first 10 cars each day; register at 9:30 for this service.

Join us:
have tires rotated, and “under hood” winter safety check on fluids and pressure (one car per family, please)
have a manicure, paraffin wax treatment and haircut
learn about e-mail, the internet, and using your computer or cell phone
bring your computer (we’ll carry it in!) or cell phone for help
bring a favorite or old photo that needs repair or restoration. (You need an email address for this)
enjoy a buffet lunch (seating time assigned when you arrive)
have your blood pressure checked
socialize in the café with arts and crafts and games
enjoy live music & a swing band concert by EHS performing arts students at 1:15
maximize your health: information on nutrition, exercise, diabetes ,VNA
snow tires will be mounted on first 10 cars only each day – arrive at 9:30 for this service.

All activities are offered by students who are eager to share their skills.
No reservations - just come! Bring a friend. Spread the word.
