Were you a student in the Life Program or take Drivers Ed , been in a HCRC Playgroup, done yoga, seen a movie, attended the Inaugural Ball at Town Hall ? Share your stories, hear new ones and offer ideas for how to keep Hinesburg a vibrant and affordable community .
As neighbors, citizens,votes,taxpayers the Planning Commission invites us all to participate in a forum on Wednesday, May 8, 7 - 8:30 PM, in our Town Hall. A panel discussion with Q&A will feature
• Mike Pieciak - Vermont State Treasurer
• Amy Tomasso - VT Department of Housing & Community Development
• Jessie Baker - South Burlington City Manager
who will address questions such as
• Local Economy – Should we/how do we facilitate growth of local businesses (existing and new)? What types of new business/industry should we try to attract? What are the most effective ways to do this?
• Housing – Does increasing supply mean greater affordability?
• Growth – How does growth affect municipal finances? Revenue vs. cost.
