On May 5th at 7 pm the Hunger Mountain Coop Council will hold a Special Meeting to decide which of the three finalist General Manager candidates to invite for in-person meetings with member-owners, employees, and the council. The Council has not held open discussions with member-owners or employees regarding the format for "in-person sessions."
Please consider attending the May 5th Special Council meeting, in person at the Co-op Community Room or via Zoom, to let the Council know the format you would like for these in-person sessions.
My suggestion is to have town hall style meetings with all in-person finalists for member-owners and employees to meet the candidates, ask questions, and receive answers. I urge the Council to widely publicize such open meetings, encouraging all members and employees who wish to be involved to attend, with ample time (at least an hour) for Q&A, in a large meeting space with advance notice regarding these meetings.
Near the beginning of the 7 pm, May 5th, Special Council meeting there will be an opportunity for two-minute community comments. Your voice matters!
