Drowning is a leading cause of death in children ages 1-14. Swim lessons lower the risk of drowning by 88%! In a state like Vermont where so many rivers and swimming holes will be calling us as the temperatures rise, consider joining us for an introduction to safe swimming to lower your child's the risk of drowning!
Come celebrate Water Safety Month at Green Mountain Community Fitness (GMCF)! Senior swimmers from the Central Vermont Swim Club will be leading kids through introductory water safety lessons on May 18th at GMCF. If your child hasn't taken formal swim lessons, this is a great opportunity to get them comfortable, with boundaries, in the water!
Not only will we splash around in the pool and learn basic skills, but there will also be snacks and a goodie bag to take home!
