Living Tree Alliance, in collaboration with The Royal Frog Ballet, presents Theatre Devising! a performance-art camp for rising 6th through 9th graders.
Kids will create an original piece of theatre through improvisation, movement, clowning, puppetry, and character exploration. No theatre experience necessary—just a willingness to collaborate and try new things. Camp includes fresh food from the farm and river swimming alongside performances of possibilities and magic!
Friday-afternoon community performance will take place on the land.
About the instructor:
Kailie Larkin is a teacher and artist who cultivates process-based creative environments for individual and collective growth. She holds Masters in Theater Education from City College of NY and has worked as a teaching artist, school residency coordinator, summer program director, and full time teacher in grades K-8. With student-led devising and technical ownership at the core of her work, she has directed over 30 productions with students ages 12-18. Her teaching expertise includes improvisation, devising, Shakespeare, clowning, mask, shadow cinema, puppetry, playwriting, and filmmaking.
