You are invited to an in-person gathering of the Chittenden Asylum Seekers Assistance Network (CASAN) on Saturday, May 11 beginning at 1:00pm. We will give updates on the success and challenges of the last few months in our work with local people who are in the asylum process.
Come to hear updates and amazing stories of resilient people as they build new lives in safety and enrich our communities. Learn about opportunities to volunteer and support people at a vulnerable time in their lives. There are so many people in our area who need this kind of assistance, and we hope to expand the circle of support.
We will also be celebrating the successful completion of our fundraiser, Arts for Asylum
Seekers! We will honor the Creatives who wrote poetry, drew, took photos, crafted, and did other projects in April to raise money to assist asylum seekers. After the updates and Q&A, there will be time to meet some of the Creatives and see examples of their work in person. Light refreshments will be served.
The event will take place on Saturday, May 11 beginning at 1:00pm with updates and Q&A, followed by meeting the Creatives and social time, ending no later than 3pm. It will be held at Mount Mansfield Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, in the red barn at 195 Vermont Rt 15, Jericho.
We hope that you can come. All that we accomplish is due to the efforts, energies, and the
generous contributions of resources and funds from our caring community – we are most
grateful!
