Celebrate and communicate on May 8 at the Town Office!

5-7pm - CELEBRATE - Celebrate the reopening of the main hall with music, food, and merriment. Delightful Mexican dinner items (from Hinesburg-based Las Hermosas) and ice cream (from Shelburne-based Sisters of Anarchy) will be available for purchase. Hinesburg's own Rik Palieri will be playing his acclaimed folk music. Town historian, Jean Miner will regale us with tales of how the main hall was used in the past (basketball game anyone?)

7-8:30pm - COMMUNICATE - Panel discussion and community forum on affordability. Whether it is property taxes, housing costs, food prices, or transportation expenses, the affordability of our community and our state is an issue for many people. Join the Planning Commission for a panel discussion and Q&A in support of the Town Plan update. Panelists include:

~ Mike Pieciak - Vermont State Treasurer
~ Amy Tomasso - VT Department of Housing & Community Development
~ Jessie Baker - South Burlington City Manager

Come for the celebration, come for the panel discussion, or come for both! It's going to be a good time with friends, neighbors, and some excellent speakers.
