The annual Newport Bike Rodeo will be on Saturday, May 4 at North Country Hospital (189 Prouty Drive, Newport). Come anytime between 10am and 1 pm and participate in the activities for all ages including: a skills course for practicing bike handling and traffic skills, a learn to ride zone (ditch those training wheels!), a mountain bike skills area, and an opportunity to demo e-bikes and adaptive bicycles. There will also be free bicycle mechanics, helmet and bicycle fitting, bicycle safety info, a free raffle for two kids bicycles, and bike-powered smoothies. There will be a fleet of bicycles available for use. The event is free and open to the public; adult supervision is required. Rain date is Sunday, May 18.
