Community potluck and conversation with Randy Kritkausky, an enrolled tribal member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation at the Maple Corner Community Center.
Potluck at 5:30 immediately followed by the talk with Randy. Please bring a dish to share.
As an indigenous person, Randy likes to shift the conversation away from "what your distant ancestors may have done to mine" and focus instead on finding common ground to move forward. He will also address environmental anxiety by offering alternatives to a "let's dominate Mother Earth" approach without romanticizing or overselling Indigenous perspectives and putting them out or reach.
