The Northeast Kingdom Asylum Seekers Assistance Network (NEKASAN) invites EVERYONE to join in a community event to celebrate Cinco de Mayo (the Fifth of May) by learning to make--and enjoy!--delicious tamales. Volunteers will be on hand to teach you to make this corn-based food traditionally wrapped in corn husks.

Lots of other food, drink and dessert items will round out the menu. NEKASAN board members will be on hand to share about our work supporting asylum seekers and refugees and welcoming them into the NEK community.

Bring your family, your friends,, your appetite, and your curiosity about other countries and cultures to this celebration of our beautiful diversity! As a small, all-volunteer non-profit organization, NEKASAN depends on contributions from supporters to carry out our mission. Suggested donation for this event is $5.00.

RSVPs are appreciated. Email redlool@fairpoint.net
