Have you ever wondered what Freemasonry is?

There is so much that gets talked about on shows related to the history of Freemasonry and what the Masonic fraternity stands for. There are three types of information that are often included in these shows: Facts, like George Washington was a mason, Myths, like there is a secret masonic treasure hidden in the world, and information that is put out in some of these shows that makes you scratch your head and say “Huh?”

If you have ever wondered about Freemasonry, now is your chance to get your questions answered. On October 18th, 2014 Lodges in our area will be opening their doors to the public. There you can not only find out about Freemasonry, you can find out about the Masonic Family here in Vermont.

The Masonic Family is the collection of Masonic organizations that meet here in Vermont. There are organizations for youth, for men and women, there are organizations that you have heard of and organizations that you might not have.
During the day on Saturday October 18th you can go and visit with members of these organizations, find out what they are about and what they may be doing in the community.

Union Lodge is located on the backside of the Salisbury Town Offices at 25 Schoolhouse Road in the village.
The contact person is Jim Selleck (802) 352-9031
