We thank you all for your efforts last summer helping to manage Knotweed in Fayston and the rest of the Valley and hope you'll join us again this season.
This coming Wednesday, May 1st from 4-6pm, we'll be working to clear dead Knotweed stalks from just above the culvert at German Flats/Rt 17, in order to more easily access the new Knotweed shoots that have started to emerge. Please park on the grass at 1662 Mill Brook Road or along German Flats by the barn. Wear gloves and sturdy boots. We'll continue with Wednesday work sessions in Fayston from 4-6 throughout the spring/summer season. Please join when you can - even if you just have 30 minutes; it is appreciated!
Call me if you have any questions, and stop by the Green Valley Rally on May 4th at the MRV Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center at Rt 17/100 to learn more about invasive species management work in the Mad River Valley and other Valley stewardship efforts and/or to pick up a Green Up Day bag. The Fayston Conservation Commission is also participating in the VT Top to Bottom Green Up from the Rt 17/100 intersection south to Hap's at 10am. Come join us!
