Larson Farm in Wells Hosts Cider & Candidates
Vermont House candidate Robin Chesnut-Tangerman, incumbent Vermont Senator Eldred French, and Vermont Senate candidate William Tracy Carris will hold a Barn Social at the Larson Farm, 69 South Street, Wells, on Sunday, October 19 from 4-6pm. Hot/cold cider, coffee, and donuts will be provided. This event immediately follows the Larson Farm Open Barn Party (1-4 PM) that offers live music, farm tours, and additional refreshments! Both events are free and open to the public.
Chesnut-Tangerman, French and Carris will each give a short presentation on their qualifications, seasoned experience, and legislative priorities, then open the floor to questions, comments and discussion.
Among the topics addressed will be:
• How we can increase good paying jobs in our towns while protecting our quality of life.
• Ways to reduce expenses in State Government that can translate into lower taxes.
• How to streamline education expenses to lower local property taxes.
• The benefits of a single-payer health plan for VT, and how to get there.
• Why Vermont must prepare for climate change and embrace a clean energy future.
This is a great opportunity for voters to get to know each candidate first-hand so they can make an informed decision on Nov 4. And what better venue than on the farm in the fall with cider and donuts!
