Barton Community Giving Garden, May 4th 930-12:30
Join our dedicated group of volunteers for our first prep day at the Barton Community Giving Garden. Located behind the Barton Village parking lot adjacent to the Barton Public Library, the garden celebrates its fourth year growing food for our community! Bring rakes and shovels (we do have some available to share) and play in the dirt!
We also have seed potatoes, thanks to a generous donation by Salvation Farms, that we are happy to offer out to folks who are willing and able to "grow a row" at home and donate the some back to the garden. We will meet at 9:30 and, since it is the same day as the NRCD plant pick up and sale at the Orleans Fairgrounds, we know that you may need to pick up plant orders or have other obligations this busy time of year – so any time you can give us is very welcome!
