David Feurzeig, Vermont professor of music and internationally renowned pianist and composer, will play an exciting concert that includes a wide range of music: classical, popular, jazz, blues, or ragtime.
His project, PLAYEVERYTOWN, is to play a concert in each of Vermont's 252 towns, to inspire listeners to consider the consequences of climate change for all of us, and to choose effective individual actions.
Feurzeig will be joined by local guest artists: He will play the piano with Mettawee Community School music teacher Lisa Hoyt on the bassoon , and he will also accompany a talented violin student from Mettawee School .
Information on free or discounted climate change items or actions will be available.
Refreshments will be offered at concert's end.
While the concert is free, contributions by cash or check to the environmental organization 350VT, founded by Vermont resident and environmental activist Bill McKibben, will be welcome.
