The local On-line Auction for Children's Medical Aid in Gaza is open for bids until Friday evening, May 3rd on more than 150 items from Albany, Craftsbury, Glover, Greensboro, and Hardwick communities at https://www.32auctions.com/GazaChildrensAid.
Doors open at noon on Saturday, May 4th for the Celebration of Palestinian Culture and Resilience at the Greensboro UCC where you can pick up On-Line Auction items that you win. The formal program from 2-3:30 includes two speakers: Palestinian-American Hamed Bakir and Jason Hirsch, a leader of the VT/NH chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace.
A Palestinian song and dance will be taught to all who wish to learn them. There will be food, music, dabke, a children's coloring table; also samples of Palestinian embroidery (tatreez) will be on display, Palestinian finger food will be available, and several videos highlighting Palestinian life and culture will be screened for those wishing to view them.
A Silent Auction of items not bid upon and still available after the end of the current On-line Auction at https://www.32auctions.com/GazaChildrensAid will take place at the Celebration Those items not sold in the On-line Auction will be on hand to examine more closely at this Silent Auction, which closes at 3:30 on May 4th.
Proceeds from the On-line Auction will go to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund and Medical Aid for Palestinians.
