Bridport residents and community members are invited to join the Bridport Comes Together process to discuss assets, challenges, and ideas for their town's future. The first event will be Tuesday, May 7th from 4:30 to 8:30pm at the Bridport Community Hall, with 4 different facilitated discussions, free dinner and childcare, and help with transportation if needed. Topics for discussion include: Infrastructure; Community Connections; Recreation & Tourism; and finally Businesses & Services. A listening team of federal, state, business and non-profit leaders will join the forums to listen and support. The "Bridport Comes Together" Community Visit is a 3-part process that brings community members together to examine issues, decide top priorities, and develop action plans for the future of the town. Step 2 will be held Tuesday, June 4th, and step 3 will be on Tuesday, July 16th. The Vermont Council on Rural Development provides the overall structure and neutral facilitation each step of the way.
