Stowe Performing Arts will present the opening concert of the Noon Music in May series on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, in Stowe Community Church, Main Street, Stowe.
The Champlain Trio - violinist Letitia Quante, cellist Emily Taubl, and pianist Hiromi Fukuda - will perform piano trios of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Mélanie Hélène Bonis, Hélène Liebmann née Riese, Alice Verne-Bredt, and Claude Debussy.
All three musicians earned degrees from The Juilliard School among others and hold positions in the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Amherst College, and the University of Vermont.
All Noon Music in May concerts are presented free of charge, with support from the Family of Irene Bareau, Stowe Community Church, Green Mountain Inn, and The Stowe Reporter. Doors open at 11:20 a.m. All are welcome; donations are gratefully accepted.
