VSA Vermont (the state organization on arts and disability) is holding its annual BOOM festival on Saturday Oct. 18 at Elley-Long Music Center, St. Michael's College. From 10 to noon there will be a drum making workshop for children and adults. Boomdogs and other food will then be available. From 1:30 to 3:00 there will be drumming performances by Burlington Taiko, Jeh Kulu (African drumming), and other community drumming groups. After 3:00, everybody will be drumming together for an hour. Admission is free, and everyone (disabled or non-disabled) can join in!
