Come join educators and writers from across Vermont in an inspiring natural setting to write and to share best practices, develop strategies, and reflect on the importance of writing in school and in our lives. This is always such an exhilarating experience for all involved. We talk about our frustrations and joys as teachers, engage in writing prompts, read and look at poems, share our work, and take time to journal at the stunning Willowell Foundation campus in Monkton.

This workshop is open to all K-12 Language Arts educators, as well as educators from other subject areas who are interested in bringing writing into their curriculum.

Poets and writers Bianca Stone, Ben Pease, Leanne Ruell and others will help reignite your own writing practice, discuss ideas on how to foster your own creative writing community and explore ways to meaningfully incorporate writing into your curriculum.

Spring is a perfect time to retreat from the bustle of the end of the year and to reflect and recharge through delving into your own creative writing practice. The hope is that in doing so, you will build your capacity for a joyful, positive and creative finish for the school year.
