Everyone is invited to come to the Great Hall of the Hinesburg Town Hall to celebrate its reopening after having to be closed for 3 years. It's time to celebrate this space that we have missed for town wide gatherings of fun, education, and serious discussion.

The celebration will be held on May 8 from 5-7 pm, and will be followed by a community forum organized by the Planning Commission.

There will be music, food, and speakers. Music by Rik Palieri and his band, tacos from Las Hermosas and Sisters of Anarchy ice cream, and speakers and displays on the history of Town Hall.

The whole Town Hall was closed in March, 2020, due to Covid. It was reopened in June of 2021. However, several months later, in December of 2021, the Great Hall had to be closed because it was deemed unsafe due to issues in the roof and supporting structures. The roof and supporting structures were repaired in January and February of 2024. The Town Meeting voting in March 2024 was the first time in three years that the Great Hall was able to be used for Town Meeting voting. Now it is time to celebrate that we can again gather in this valuable community space.
