What is the Black Fly Ball?
The Black Fly Ball is The Little School's largest annual fundraiser. This event features an online auction, live music by Muddy Hollow Band, a cash bar, hors d'oeuvres by Chef to Table, and great company!
What do I wear?
Guests should wear whatever makes them feel good! Typically people wear sundresses, khakis or jeans, nice tops, etc. It's Black Fly not black tie!
How does the auction work?
The online auction is live until 9pm on May 10th. If items are receiving a lot of last-minute bids, that item may stay open longer. The items up for auction range from gift certificates to artwork, beauty items, experiences, and everything in between!
Be sure to also check out the classroom projects up for auction! Each classroom has worked hard on creating a special piece for families to bid on. More items are being added up to the event so check back frequently to stake your claim!
Do I need to be present to claim my auction items?
Nope! Anyone anywhere can participate in the auction. We just ask that you have a plan for how you will pick up your items. If you are not at the event, you can make arrangements to pick up your winnings at The Little School. Auction website: https://www.32auctions.com/BFB24
Do I need cash?
While The Little School is able to accept Venmo or checks for tickets, donations, and bids, the bar is a cash bar and might not be able to accept alternate forms of payment. It's best to bring some cash just in case.
How do I get tickets?
Tickets are on sale now on our website for $50. This option will close the day of the event and tickets at the door will be sold for $60. Current families get a special BOGO deal! https://littleschoolvt.org/tickets
