We're excited this year to return to an in-person day!

The morning will offer hybrid participation options for welcoming statements from CAV President, Dan Goossen, and Jane Lazorchak, Director of the ANR's Climate Action Office, and the State of the State of Organics, presented by Emma Stuhl of the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation's Waste Management and Prevention Division. This will be followed by Dr. Sally Brown, who will deliver the 2024 keynote, titled "Compost, one way to say thanks."

For those joining the Summit in person, lunch will be followed by three concurrent sessions: Unleashing the Power of Johnson-Su Compost Reactors in Vermont, Navigating the Jumping Worm Invasion with Poise, and PFAS challenges in organics management: a roundtable discussion. The program concludes with an afternoon plenary session, titled Composting in Vermont and the Role of Soil Health in Climate Mitigation and Resilience. After the program concludes, join Eco-Products and CAV for an evening of tasty snacks, cold beverages and riveting compost conversation following the VORS in-person program.
