Dear neighbors,

Friends of the Barge Canal invites you a Green Up Day event, Saturday, May 4 from 9 AM to 1 PM at your favorite South End Superfund site, the Pine Street Barge Canal. Bring work gloves if you have them and water to drink. We will have bagels and other snacks. Come for all four hours or as long as you want. Don't forget to wear sturdy shoes or boots, long pants and a hat. We will be working rain or shine.

This is our third year of cleaning up the Barge Canal and our community is growing along with the trees, shrubs and, yes, poison ivy in this lovely, vulnerable area.
