The 30th Anniversary of the Spring Book & Paper Fair will be held in historic downtown St. Albans City Hall on Sunday April 21, 2024 from 10 am to 4 pm
• Notable J Kevin Graffagnino will offer free book appraisals from 11-1 at the fair. Kevin was curator of Vermont history at UVM's library, Head of Special Collections, and Director of the William L Clements Library. Now retired, he has returned to Vermont and rejoined VABA as an appraiser and consultant.
• Local authors will also be making an appearance, as the St Albans Community Arts Group is sponsoring several signings.
• Local bookbinder Carol Ceraldi of Graham Hill Bindery in Craftsbury will be demonstrating book binding techniques and discussing book repairs and restoration.
So far, expected dealers include The Eloquent Page - new, used & rare books of St Albans, Back Door Antiques of Middlebury, Laureate Fine Books of Poultney, Catamount Books of Arlington, Otter Creek Books of Middlebury, Speaking Volumes of Burlington, Graham Hill Bindery of Craftsbury, North Country Books of Milton, J. Kevin Gragffagnino of Essex, Seasoned Books & Bakery of Rochester, Wood Thrush Books of Swanton, Hermit Hill Books of Poultney, with more still coming.
The Vermont Antiquarian Booksellers Association (VABA) sponsors this Spring Fair which gives the public much more than the 'internet' can offer, Popular with Vermonters as well as upstate New York, book lovers are encouraged to come and enjoy wonderful, rare and unique 'finds' as well as meet and talk with knowledgeable book dealers and authors.
