Senator Peter Welch will host a Rural Economic Development Listening Session at Lawson's Finest Liquids Taproom in Waitsfield with community members and local leaders to discuss how Congress can better support rural communities in Vermont and across America. Senator Welch, Chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee's Subcommittee on Rural Development and Energy, is working to pass bills to help flood recovery, build out broadband, lower energy costs, and improve water infrastructure in rural America.
Vermonters are invited to share their thoughts and concerns with Senator Welch. The event will also feature a panel of local Mad River Valley business leaders, including Lawson's Finest CEO, Adeline Druart, along with a Q&A session with the Senator and panelists. The event will take place on Friday April 26th from 5:30pm – 7pm at the Lawson's Finest Liquids Taproom (155 Carroll Road in Waitsfield). Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend this free event!
