Appearing at Cobleigh Public Library on National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, NEK-based author Tanya Sousa, and illustrator Marcia Blanco, will unveil their brand-new picture book, "Rescued!" This heartwarming book relates the true story of how Simba, the beloved dog that Tanya's family had rescued from a shelter, ended up rescuing Tanya and her sister!

In addition to reading the book aloud, Tanya will talk about the inspiration for this book, and Tanya & Marcia will share some insights into their creative process and answer questions from kids and adults alike.
