Montpelier Contra Dance this Saturday!

Will Mentor will call great dances, and we'll have great live music with the Russet Trio at the Montpelier Contra Dance on Saturday! Will is always a favorite caller at our dances, known for clear teaching and interesting dances. The Russet Trio features Stuart Kenney on stand-up bass and banjo, Peter Water Madsen on guitar and percussion, and Aldo Lavaggi on fiddle. Their great repertoire of tunes includes old-time, Celtic and Scandinavian-influenced music, and will keep your feet moving!

Will will teach an instruction/refresher session starting about 7:40, so aim to get to the Capital City Grange Hall about 7:30 to change your shoes, or clean them really well to protect our beautiful dance floor. The Grange Hall is located at 6612 VT 12, Berlin VT 05602, about 1 mile south of Montpelier. We'll have dancing from 8:00 to 11:00 PM, with a brief break midway through. Come with your friends, or come alone--there are lots of folks to partner with in this friendly social dance community!

Admission: choose the price that matches you--$12 for regular adult-type people, $5 for kids or low-income people, or $20 if you want to help us pay the band, caller and sound really well!
