Happy Re-Voting Day, neighbors. I wanted to let you all know about an education-focused discussion I am facilitating this Thursday at 6:30 pm at Onyx Tonics in Burlington as part of UVM's Public Philosophy Week. I'll be talking with three educators I admire about the work they are doing to improve outcomes for students: Burlington elementary teacher Aziza Malik who also happens to be Vermont's Teacher of the Year; Joe Carroll, who started a Healthy Masculinity class at Montpelier HS;, and Beth White, founder of nonprofit Habitat for Aviation. In a time of a lot of doom and gloom for education, I hope this will be a positive conversation that highlights the work of some extraordinary Vermont educators.
