When: Saturday April 27th from 9 am to Noon.

Where: The Veterans' Place 220 Vine Street, Northfield, VT 05663

As of January 2024, there are more than 100 homeless Veterans in our Vermont communities. Most of these Veterans are homeless because they can't find housing. These men have seen things no one should have to see. They have done things they dare not speak of. They feel desperate and alone in their suffering. They arrive at The Veterans' Place seeking food, shelter, and a warm bed, but they find so much more. A family, to take them in. Comrades in arms, who understand what they have been through. Mentors, to help guide them, restore their dignity, and begin the healing process. Most important, they discover a second chance at life—an opportunity to be part of a community, forge new relationships, change old habits, and regain their status as a contributing member of society. At the Veterans' Place, every soldier's story is unique. Their journey has led them here, to this safe place, where they can recover, rehabilitate, and learn to trust again.

"Homelessness made me feel disconnected, where HUD VASH has reconnected me and built a
preferred community of help and accountability."
— Jon, USN Veteran, Homeless for 13 months

"These folks have made huge sacrifices for us to continue to be in business…they are
deserving of housing, and it should be a basic right for these folks to retain a home."
— Bill, VT Landlord

Please, come, meet our staff and our Veterans. Hear about our program and the support we
offer our residents in their journey to rebuilding their lives and finding their new housing,
