MycoLab, the community branch of MycoEvolve, invites you to join our Ecological Restoration Community Workshops at Shelburne Farms. Volunteers will grow skills in non-chemical removal of nonnative plant species, tool safety, and plant identification. Aspects of this work are strenuous; many hands will lighten the load! No experience is needed.
This work supports MycoEvolve's research: Myco-Phytoremediation in Multi-Functional Riparian Forest Buffers: Restoration, Education, Training, and Rematriation. This project aims to mitigate phosphorus pollution, increase pollinator habitat, facilitate Abenaki land access, foster local ecoliteracy, and improve Best Management Practices for Riparian Forest Buffers.
