The Champlain Philharmonic will perform an exciting concert at Grace Congregational Church in Rutland on Sat, Oct. 11 at 7:30 PM. Katherine Winterstein, concertmaster of the Vermont Symphony, will perform as soloist on Barber's sublime Violin Concerto. The Philharmonic will also perform works with a Spanish flavor, including Rimsky Korsakov's Capriccio Espagnol and Chabrier's Espana, as well as Hector Berlioz’s bombastic Roman Carnival Overture. Tickets are available at the door for $15 general admission, $10 seniors, and $5 students. Local musicians and music teachers Mary Barron, Lisa Hoyt and Kathy Luzader are members of this group!
