CAE Speaker Series: Capitalizing Building Investments

Past event
Oct 17, 2014, 7:45 AM to 9 PM

Are you planning to dress up your storefront, increase technology access, make life-safety code improvements or complete other building investments? Caitlin Corkins and John Mandeville answer all your questions and inform you about business tax incentives available to you to take advantage of.

Incentives include but are not limited to the following example: Property owners investing in historic commercial buildings - meaning income-producing buildings—can benefit from a tax credit program offered through the State of Vermont for buildings within Designated Downtowns and Village Centers. The credits support general rehabilitation, code compliance, and exterior improvements. Projects range from small bed and breakfasts and rental apartments to multimillion dollar redevelopments.

Join Lamoille County Planning Commission (LCPC) and Cambridge Artists and Entrepreneurs (CAE) on October 17 at 7:45 am at The Cambridge Historical Society (49 School St, Jeffersonville) as Caitlin Corkins, Tax Credits and Grants Coordinator for the VT Agency of Commerce and Community Development, and John Mandeville, Executive Director for the Lamoille Economic Development Corporation (LEDC), present options available and answer your questions. Sponsored by: LCPC, CAE, and the LEDC. For more information, visit www.lcpcvt.org. Residents and business owners outside Lamoille County are welcome to participate.
