6:30 onwards, Public Forum speak up, for anyone to weigh in on speeds/bumps at DPW Commission meeting, Wednesday Oct 15, on Pine St. We might be able to get on the agenda formally (or not) but certainly good time to make your voice heard. At this moment, word is that the woeful 2" bumps currently installed on N Champlain are the new blacktop for any streets since 2010? For context: Our old ones, and the ones still present on Park St, and the NEW ONE at top of North St, are 4" high and totally effective for 25 hr speed limit. The speed limit of the new 2"bumps is yet to be determined, with an "objective traffic study" to be conducted at further taxpayer expense by Chittenden County Regional sometime in next couple weeks on North Champlain. No further details offered as yet on what that means or how it's done "objectively".
