April is National Jazz Month and this April 20th, the Chelsea Public Library and Royalton Community Radio present a screening of the music documentary film "Thelonious Monk: Straight No Chaser".
This FREE screening profiles the music and life of Monk, a bristly enigmatic pianist who epitomized the freeform essence of the bebop jazz era.
The film includes recorded live performance segments and posthumous interviews with Monk's friends and family.
The screening will be held at the Chelsea Public Library.
