The Vermont Democratic Party has set ten days in April for all local town committees to hold a caucus in their town to select delegates to the state Democratic Convention.
The Bristol Democratic Town Committee has scheduled our Caucus to meet in person on Tuesday, April 16th at Lawrence Memorial Library at 7 pm, to select the 4 delegates (and 2 alternate delegates) to attend the Vermont Democratic Convention on May 18th.
To be eligible to become a delegate, a person must meet the following two criteria:
1. Must have voted on the Democratic ballot in the March 5, 2024, presidential primary.
2. Must be a member of the Bristol Democratic Town Committee and a resident of Bristol.
If you want to be a delegate and you voted using the Democratic ballot on March 5th, but are not a current member of our committee, that can be solved by being voted in as a Bristol Democratic Town committee member on April 16th at our meeting.
We welcome anyone who qualifies to attend our caucus and they will be eligible to be a delegate. At our meeting, we will vote on everyone who puts their name forward.
