The Waterbury Progressive Party is convening a Caucus to nominate people for the position of Justice of the Peace in Waterbury, VT. People nominated will appear on the November 5, 2024 general election ballot. Waterbury has 15 elected JP positions.
All voting residents of Waterbury are welcome to attend the Caucus. The meeting will be held in the Waterbury Public Library (Red room upstairs) on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 6:30 pm.
The Justices of the Peace conduct the elections at the polls, officiate over weddings, and are members of the Board of Civil Authority in Waterbury. Anyone interested in learning more about the duties of the Justice of the Peace can contact me.
Volunteering for public service is incredibly rewarding on multiple levels. Not only does it provide you with the opportunity to give back to your community and make a positive impact on the lives of others, but it can also give you a sense of fulfillment and purpose. Plus, it often allows you to connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for making a difference.
I certainly hope to return to serve as a Justice of the Peace, myself.
