Join us as we talk a walk and measure the height of the trees around Bakersfield. This is part of the citizen science project Make Every Tree Count. We will be starting at the library to get directions and how the project works. Participants will need to download an app on their mobile device to measure height. Participants will also be encouraged to take bark rubbings, sketch trees and their parts, and measure the circumference of the trees.
All ages are welcome. Registration not required but encouraged so we can make sure we have enough supplies for everyone.
