Past event
Apr 17, 2024, 4 to 5 PM

The Varnum Memorial Library is the grateful recipient of the Children's Literacy Foundation (CLiF) Community Literacy Grant, and we are proud to partner with Cambridge Elementary School to host this event!

Join us for an exciting time with Vermont author, Natalie Kinsey-Warnock! As a CLiF presenter, Ms. Kinsey-Warnock will tell stories, read aloud from books, and share her love of words, reading, and writing. Every child who participates chooses two books to keep from a wide selection of brand-new children's books.

To make sure we have enough space for all, this event is being held at the Cambridge Elementary School Gym.

Natalie Kinsey-Warnock grew up on a farm in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom where her Scottish ancestors settled 200 years ago. The inspiration for her books comes from her childhood on that farm and her true family stories. She is the author of 20 books, including the picture books The Bear That Heard Crying, Nora's Ark, and From Dawn till Dusk and the young adult novels The Canada Geese Quilt, As Long As There Are Mountains, and Gifts from the Sea. Stop by the Varnum before the program to check out some of her amazing works!

This event is free and open to all youth and their adults.
