I recently read about this upcoming event, and I thought maybe my neighbors would be interested. Migrant Justice is an amazing organization - I'm very excited that they're receiving the Ed Everts Social Justice Activist Award. They are truly deserving of an award, and so much more! To put the icing on the cake, Julia Alvarez is presenting. If you don't know her, she is an amazing author. I was assigned to read several of her works in college, and I actually did read them and loved them. This should be a great event - hope to see you there!
