The town is required to update the Town Plan every ten years and the process is under way. The Sheffield Planning Commission will hold its first of three Town Plan update meetings on the 10th of April at the Municipal Building at 6 PM. The meeting will:

• introduce residents to the update schedule for the Town Plan, what the plan tries to accomplish.
• Brief residents on the Use Value Appraisal program (UVA) and it advantages to landowners. Matt Langlais, Caledonia County forester will be presenting
• Open discussions on improvements to outdoor recreation possibilities, including trails, in town
• Cover the latest information on floodplain mapping in Sheffield and what residents will see in the next few months

Residents are invited to attend and help with ideas, suggestions, and plan content.
