Southern Vermont for Palestine is presenting a film series at the Latchis Theatre on four Sunday afternoons in April. The series includes documentaries, animation, short and feature feature films centered on Palestinian lives and perspectives.
Each week has a different theme:
- April 7: The Nakba and its Legacy
- April 14: Secret Negotiations and Palestinian Resistance
- April 21: Life in Occupied Palestine
- April 28: Palestinian Resilience.
The films are accessible to anyone with a basic knowledge of Israel/Palestine. The films are an invitation to broaden and deepen one's understanding of the issues. They will provide everyone in the audience with new insights.
"Audiences will appreciate these high-quality, thought-provoking, heartwarming films," said Shana Frank, of Putney. "They have opened my eyes to Palestinians' long history, rich culture, and immense challenges."
The film series programs are scheduled from 4-6 p.m. Admission is by donation. For details about the films and organizers, visit: https://www.sovt4palestine.org/palestine-film-series.
