I got the hour wrong in my original post! The 100th Birthday Peace Rally is at NOON on Saturday, not 11. Jules' daughter wrote to correct me.

Apparently even when I'm not trying to fake people out, I still have to follow up with an amendment. I swear you can trust me this time though! Here's the text from the original event post, in case you missed it:

"Hello again everyone! My peace rally buddy Jules Rabin is celebrating his 100th birthday with a public rally for peace, at the State and Main intersection in Montpelier, this Saturday at [12:00]. Come say hello and wish him a happy birthday, and stand with us for a while if you have the time. Signs and posters welcome, or borrow one of the extras-- there are usually extras-- or just stand.

"I first met Jules a while back at the weekly, Friday noontime rallies for peace that he started twenty (thirty? forty?) years ago in front of the federal building. Meeting and being with him there has bolstered my own peace of mind, even though it hasn't stopped the wars. I'm grateful to Jules and all the others for that.
