Tickets will soon be available for the 9th annual Empty Bowls event for Martha's Community Kitchen. The event is on Saturday, May 4th from 1:30pm to 4:00pm. Tickets are $25 each and will be available at the Kitchen (139 Lake St.) every day of the week from 9:00am - 1:00pm. They will also be available at the door on May 4th. When you attend Empty Bowls you will select and keep a bowl made by one of several local potters and enjoy delicious soup made by volunteers. There will also be desserts, bread and a beverage to go with the soup.
This year, in addition to the "Grab and Go" format you will have the option to sit down and enjoy your soup in the dining room. As always, 100% of the proceeds from this event support the mission of Martha's Community Kitchen to help meet the basic needs of food and companionship.
