On the Saturday before the solar eclipse, you are invited to BEEC to celebrate our celestial neighborhood. We will model the movements of the Earth, moon, and sun to recreate the phases of the moon and explore what makes a total eclipse so rare. Learn about citizen science projects you can participate in on Eclipse Day, the phenomenon to watch for during the eclipse, and enjoy some moon pies. Need help planning where to go to see totality? Free eclipse glasses for all participants!
Registration required.
