The Friends of the Aldrich Library are pleased to announce their Spring Book Sale, to be held on Friday and Saturday, April 26 and 27, in the library's Milne Room. Sale hours are Friday 11 am to 5 pm and Saturday 10 am to 1 pm. Gently used books for all ages, DVDs, and CDs will be available at rock bottom prices. Come early for the best selection, and please bring bags to haul your goodies home.
Most hard cover adult fiction and nonfiction will be $1, and children's items are always $0.25. There will be plenty of paperbacks ranging in price from $1 to $0.50, depending on their size. For more information about the sale, call the library at (802) 476-7550.
The Friends of the Library welcome anyone who loves the library and wants to help support its programs and services to join. We especially need folks to help set up for the sale on Thursday and/or clean up after the sale at 1 pm on Saturday. If you have books to donate, please bring them to the library during its open hours – don't leave them outside to get wet or damaged. We will gladly take two boxes of books per family from now until April 20. Children's books are especially welcome.
The Friends of the Aldrich Library does not charge dues and is always looking for new members and new fundraising ideas. If you're interested in joining, drop in at a meeting in the Milne Room on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 4 pm, or call co-presidents Pamela Murphy at (814) 244-5900 or Marianne Kotch at (802) 476-4185.
