Online Event: Seabird-Focused Research on Palmyra Atoll

Past event
Apr 4, 2024, 6:30 to 7:30 PM

Join us for a talk this Thursday evening to learn more about research on the Palmyra Atoll -- a pacific island that is home to bristle-thighed curlews, pacific golden plovers, wandering tattlers, and black noddies, not to mention hard-working marine biologists. Claire Reilly, a graduate from the University of Vermont Rubenstein School of Environment & Natural Resources and a former intern with Audubon Vermont, will speak about her time on the Atoll assisting scientists with bird surveying, invasive plant control, native plant monitoring, and seabird attraction efforts as part of efforts to restore Palmyra's native rainforest and bring back seven extirpated species of seabirds.

Join us for this engaging presentation by registering at the link below.
